📋 Description

• Build the next generation of ECP's flagship clinical product for senior living communities • Migrate clinical workflows from ColdFusion and AngularJS to the new platform, one function at a time • Analyze existing workflows, including undocumented behavior, and rebuild them on the new platform • Own clinical domains end to end through production and write tests proving migrated workflows work • Collaborate with product to agree on deliberate workflow differences and prevent regressions • Build new clinical capabilities after domains are migrated • Partner with the product manager on scope and sequencing • Challenge costly approaches when a cheaper way can achieve the same caregiver outcome • Advance engineer-owned automated test coverage using Playwright • Carry the pager for the domains built • Report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Clinical on a four-engineer team with a tech lead and dedicated product manager

🎯 Requirements

• Depth in TypeScript on both sides of the stack, with Node on the server and React in the browser; ability to describe a feature taken from the data model to the interface and what would be modeled differently now • Daily use of AI-assisted development on production code, with clear understanding of where to stop trusting AI • Experience using AI on a large codebase not authored by the candidate, including handling confidently incorrect initial outputs caused by insufficient system context • Experience helping other engineers improve their use of AI • Experience applying domain-driven design in a complex domain, including drawing boundaries against an unchangeable system and understanding the cost of incorrect boundaries • Experience building software where defects have consequences beyond poor user experience; changed testing and shipping practices and participated in on-call • Data modeling and query performance experience in a tenant-based data model; experience finding and fixing queries that fail at the largest customer scale • Ability to work with product and influence what gets built by understanding the underlying business problem • Preferred: experience completing a legacy-to-next-generation migration while both systems ran in production • Preferred: ColdFusion or another inherited language • Preferred: HIPAA, PHI, or another regulated data environment • Preferred: SQL Server, AWS, and event-driven architecture in production • Preferred: offline-first or progressive web applications • Preferred: Playwright or comparable browser automation owned directly • Preferred: healthcare experience or time observing clinical staff
