📋 Description

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot a large multi-vendor fleet of gateways, routers, switches, and access points • Design, operate, and troubleshoot network authentication end to end • Develop scripts and automation for provisioning, configuration management, authentication, and device lifecycle management • Build diagnostic tooling and lead root-cause analysis using packet captures, device logs, and platform telemetry • Serve as subject-matter expert on network protocols and devices • Translate network behavior and vendor capabilities into software platform requirements • Review designs for service interactions with network infrastructure • Progressively architect, implement, and maintain software systems interacting with network infrastructure • Collaborate with development, product management, and UX teams • Partner across functions on architectural, network-design, and code-design challenges • Work within Agile methodology with two-week sprints • Identify and incorporate security requirements and participate in security reviews • Document network standards, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides • Mentor teammates and contribute to knowledge sharing • Participate in on-call rotation • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting production IP networks • Strong command of routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, firewalling, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, QoS, and diagnosis across Layers 2–7 • Deep understanding and production experience with RADIUS, AAA workflows, 802.1X, EAP methods, and certificate-based authentication • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, gateways, and access points from multiple vendors, including MikroTik, Meraki, Nomadix, Ruckus, and Aruba • Experience managing large fleets of network devices in large-scale, multi-site deployments • Programming and scripting experience for network operations, including Python, Bash, RouterOS scripting, and vendor REST APIs • Strong Linux knowledge and CLI-driven environment experience • Willingness and aptitude to transition from scripting into software engineering • Motivation to learn version control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud services • Strong desire to help scale cloud-based services and contribute to new products • Experience with large-scale Wi-Fi/WLAN deployments and RF fundamentals strongly preferred • Bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred • Relevant networking certifications strongly preferred • Professional software engineering experience beyond scripting nice to have • Experience with RESTful API design, Git, CI/CD, AWS Serverless, CloudFormation, containerized services, Python, C#/.NET, or SQL nice to have • Must be based in the United States • Must be legally eligible to work for any US employer • Eleven is unable to sponsor candidates
