📋 Description

• Own the architecture, development, and operation of scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant cloud services • Drive technical design and architectural decisions for distributed systems • Lead complex initiatives end-to-end from design through deployment and ongoing optimization • Build and scale cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes • Advance cloud security and compliance practices through secure design, IAM controls, and encryption • Improve system observability and operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies • Drive DevOps maturity by optimizing CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies • Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams on complex system-level challenges • Mentor and guide engineers through technical direction, code reviews, and skill development • Evaluate and adopt technologies to improve performance, scalability, and developer productivity

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 6–8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant focus on cloud infrastructure and distributed systems • Ability to independently design, build, and operate production-grade systems at scale • Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages, with experience building distributed services • Deep expertise in Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm) • Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, IAM), including designing and operating systems in production • Demonstrated ownership of systems, including on-call, incident response, and long-term reliability improvements • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguous, complex technical challenges • Effective communication skills with ability to influence technical decisions across teams • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum • Preferred: expertise in cloud security best practices, including identity, encryption, and compliance frameworks • Preferred: experience designing and scaling high-availability distributed systems with automated failover and self-healing capabilities • Preferred: strong knowledge of observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) • Preferred: experience with event-driven architectures and microservices • Preferred: familiarity with HashiCorp ecosystem tools (Vault, Consul, Packer) • Preferred: experience contributing to or defining engineering standards, patterns, or platform strategy
