📋 Description

• Support the United States Postal Service (USPS) • Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based Splunk environments • Support enterprise-level monitoring, alerting, and reporting • Perform Splunk system architecture, design, implementation, configuration, and operational support • Collaborate across DevOps, Security, and IT teams • Optimize performance and ensure data integrity and system availability • Support mission-critical operations • Conduct security assessments for applications and domains, including cloud computing • Implement security controls and conduct risk assessments • Document compliance measures based on NIST RMF and ISO standards • Evaluate and support documentation, validation, and accreditation processes for IT systems • Ensure appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and assurance • Develop actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines • Use network and vulnerability scanning tools to interrogate systems for configuration and status • Utilize GRC tools to manage A&A processes • Serve as SME for the USPS A&A process and guide stakeholders, business units, and new A&A resources • Build and maintain schedules and step-by-step action plans • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and brief executives • Perform off-hours and weekend systems maintenance, upgrades, and support when required

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of related professional experience • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred but not required • If lacking a relevant college degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience required • Experience managing security assessments for applications and domains, including cloud computing • Experience managing large, complex, and high-risk projects or initiatives • Proficiency implementing security controls and conducting risk assessments • Proficiency documenting compliance measures based on NIST RMF and ISO standards • Proficiency evaluating and supporting IT system documentation, validation, and accreditation processes • Proficiency ensuring appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and assurance • Ability to develop security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines • Experience with network and vulnerability scanning tools and technologies • In-depth understanding of security architecture principles and best practices • Proficiency using Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools for Assessment & Authorization processes • Ability to serve as SME for the USPS A&A process • Strong organizational skills and ability to build schedules and step-by-step action plans • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust • Must provide onsite fingerprinting at a designated facility • U.S. residency requirement • For the USPS security process, U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. or U.S. Territories for more than 6 consecutive months in the last 3 years, subject to exceptions • Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. or U.S. Territories for more than 90 consecutive days in the last 3 years • U.S. Citizenship is not required • Must be able to work in a hybrid on-premises Unix/Linux and cloud-based environment • Off-hours and weekend maintenance, upgrades, and support may be required • Travel required: less than 10%
