📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies • Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures • Implement and support RESTful APIs and SOAP-based services for system integrations • Participate in system design reviews, code reviews, and technical solution assessments • Apply DevSecOps principles throughout the development lifecycle • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab • Automate build, testing, deployment, and release management processes • Integrate automated unit testing, integration testing, code quality analysis, and security validation • Implement and maintain SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and vulnerability scanning controls • Promote secure coding practices and enterprise security compliance • Design and optimize database interactions using relational databases and SQL • Manage database schema versioning and deployments using Flyway • Develop migration strategies, baseline configurations, and rollback procedures • Collaborate with database administrators and architects on performance and data integrity • Troubleshoot application issues across development, testing, and production environments • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions • Monitor application performance and identify improvement opportunities • Support incident response, operational stability, and continuous service availability • Support enterprise integration initiatives, including COTS product integrations • Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and operations teams • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and reviews • Prepare and maintain technical designs, deployment documentation, and operational procedures • Evaluate and help implement AI-enabled capabilities such as intelligent automation, summarization, classification, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and AI-assisted decision support

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of related experience listed in job qualifications • 18+ years of hands-on software development experience at lead level • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience • Senior-level hands-on experience developing Java-based web applications • Strong expertise with Java 8+ • Strong expertise with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework ecosystem • Experience with REST API development and integration • Experience with SOAP services and integrations • Experience with relational databases and SQL • Experience with Flyway database migration/version control • Experience with Jenkins and/or GitLab CI/CD pipelines • Demonstrated DevSecOps experience, including automated build, test, deployment, and security processes • Experience supporting and maintaining production applications in large-scale enterprise environments • Strong understanding of application security principles and secure coding practices • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and conducting root cause analysis • Ability to work independently on complex technical initiatives with minimal supervision • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and pass a government background screening with detailed forms and fingerprinting • U.S. residency for the specified prior five-year period under USPS security clearance requirements • Less than 10% travel required
