• Execute highly technical services on gas, steam, and combined-cycle turbine/plant configurations in the field and remotely • Drive compliance with company policies, testing procedures, standards, and best practices • Champion safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence • Partner with leadership to shape and execute strategic priorities • Build and leverage global networks supporting business and technical objectives • Mentor team members and support capability building and succession development • Participate in candidate assessment and hiring decisions • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices • Provide strategic development insights and technical thought leadership • Lead field thermal performance testing and diagnostics • Advance and standardize performance methods, tools, and processes • Analyze complex test data, validate results, and diagnose technical issues • Lead multi-event and multi-technology testing programs, coordinating teams, schedules, and deliverables • Drive equipment diagnostics, root cause analysis, and performance optimization • Establish NPI testing strategies with systems and product engineering stakeholders • Review field test data, analyses, and customer deliverables • Oversee testing instrumentation and DAQ systems • Communicate engineering risks, findings, and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders • Develop field performance test strategies based on contracts, guarantees, and project scope • Protect commercial interests and mitigate technical and performance risk • Support commercial and technical ITO discussions • Drive productivity and execution excellence across field testing • Contribute to new service development initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in thermal performance modeling, field testing, or thermal evaluation • Ability to travel extensively in support of global assignments • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, combined cycles, and thermodynamic cycles related to gas turbines, steam turbines, and HRSGs • Advanced degree in Engineering (desired) • 10+ years of relevant professional experience (desired) • 8+ years of experience in thermal performance testing (desired) • Advanced knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition system installation and operation • Advanced understanding of control system instrumentation, calibration, and performance impact • Advanced understanding of turbine design and operating philosophy • Expertise in thermodynamic modeling and performance analysis • Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel and programming capabilities • Expertise in data reduction and reconciliation analysis • Experience working in cross-functional environments • Extensive experience working with customers and presenting to varied audiences • Knowledge of Gas Power business models • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively • Clear, concise, and professional communication • Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and business audiences • Strong service mindset and solution-oriented approach • Strong facilitation and influencing skills • Legally authorized to work in the United States
