📋 Description

• Own all controls aspects of design for FACTS projects • Lead the controls engineering design team on technical design matters • Ensure project design documentation is delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality • Create and lead training for FSC and SC solutions • Own custom equipment control-design solutions and lead design quality reviews • Mentor designers in communications with internal and external stakeholders • Train controls design team members across FSC and SC product lines • Participate in project and proposal schedule planning and ensure resource availability during ITO and OTR phases • Identify, qualify, deploy, train, and maintain design tools and processes • Complete control system designs to meet project deadlines • Participate in engineering design reviews and provide technical leadership • Identify project risks and technical weaknesses and propose safe, reliable, compliant solutions • Review design documents and ensure timely, cost-effective quality deliverables • Analyze and evaluate assigned projects against business, product, and program requirements • Facilitate cost reduction, cycle improvement, quality, and lean programs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college and at least 5 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree in engineering with 10 years of experience in FACTS controls engineering design • Support project quality procedures and initiatives, including ISO9001 • Knowledge of and experience using IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards and codes • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, and Autodesk products including AutoCAD Electrical • Strong oral and written communication skills • Flexibility with working hours • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%, including remote locations and international travel • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required • Ability to develop and implement standards and structured programs • Experience specifying equipment for utility-industry projects • Ability to design packages when no clear customer specification is provided • Superior communication in English and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to lead among peers and be accountable for team results • Must complete a drug screen as applicable
