📋 Description

• Lead the Treasury engineering pod • Deliver financial infrastructure for nonprofit users • Mature engineering practices and grow a team of skilled engineers • Ship code, review pull requests, make architectural decisions, monitor production systems, and participate in incidents • Report to the VP of Engineering • Execute the product vision and build a scalable engineering culture • Ensure excellent user experiences are delivered on time without compromising security, design, or performance • Collaborate with the VP of Engineering on Treasury engineering strategy • Lead, manage, and mentor full-stack engineers building Givebutter Wallet features, payment tools, and financial dashboards • Own the Treasury engineering function and set technical direction • Develop same-day ACH transfer tools, card issuing systems, and QuickBooks integration • Build and maintain financial infrastructure enabling nonprofits to earn rewards on funds and put money to work faster • Optimize financial architecture and technology stack for security, reliability, and growth • Improve internal engineering workflows and refine best practices • Champion code quality and maintainable, scalable solutions • Evaluate and apply AI and machine learning tools in financial product development

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in full-stack development • Expertise in modern web technologies, including React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and PHP/Laravel • Hands-on experience designing and building scalable financial or fintech systems • Experience with payment processing, ACH, card issuing, or accounting integrations • At least 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ engineers • Strong understanding of financial compliance, security requirements, and data integrity in regulated environments • Proven experience in people management and mentorship • Demonstrated success in hiring and developing remote engineering teams • Experience in a product-led growth environment is a strong plus • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must regularly engage with the codebase through coding, code reviews, pairing, and prototyping
