📋 Description

• Design and build production systems from the ground up, including scalable backend services, internal and external APIs, and data models supporting complex financial workflows • Take full-stack features from concept through architecture, frontend implementation, backend logic, and deployment • Build and extend AI agent-powered workflows for underwriting, risk monitoring, collections, and payments • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot • Contribute to engineering practices and standards, including code review norms, architecture patterns, and AI tooling integration • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, and product managers • Experiment while maintaining production quality • Help architect and develop agentic systems running Gynger's credit risk function • Shape the product, architecture, and team's development practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of professional experience working with TypeScript, React, and Node.js • Preferred: experience as a tech lead or team lead, particularly as a founding or early engineer who helped build something from the ground up • Demonstrated backend strength, including designing scalable APIs, databases, and system architecture • Track record of building full applications from scratch, including modular full-stack systems • Experience releasing and operating applications in a cloud environment such as GCP or AWS • Hands-on, everyday fluency with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot • History of helping teams improve engineering practices and standards • Strong ownership mentality and comfort working in a fast-moving, category-creating startup environment • FinTech, B2B SaaS, or agentic B2B software experience is ideal but not required • Experience building AI agent-based systems is ideal but not required • Experience with backend policies, data flows, and complex business logic is ideal but not required
