📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate production backend systems using Go • Develop scalable, reliable APIs and distributed services • Design and evolve database schemas and data models • Build and maintain systems using SQL/PostgreSQL • Contribute to infrastructure, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines • Work with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments • Implement and improve observability through metrics, alerting, logging, and request tracing • Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders • Help shape technical architecture and engineering best practices as the company grows

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience writing production Go (Golang) for backend systems • Proven experience building and operating distributed backend systems in production • Strong understanding of backend architecture and API design • Experience designing relational database schemas and working with SQL • Experience building production web applications, services, and/or APIs • Ability to independently own technical problems from design through production • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences • Collaborative, low-ego approach to engineering and problem-solving • Preferred: Experience with PostgreSQL • Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes • Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines • Preferred: Experience with API-driven development • Preferred: Experience with observability tooling, including metrics, alerting, logging, and distributed/request tracing • Preferred: Experience with Python and/or Python-based data pipelines • Preferred: Experience in early-stage startup environments, particularly Seed through Series B • Preferred: Experience in high-stakes or highly regulated domains such as fintech, security, identity, fraud, or risk
