• Lead and participate in enterprise-level direction and strategy for Server/Network infrastructure • Research and evaluate current and emerging technologies and methodologies and recommend technology initiatives • Perform Server/Network architect duties and participate in strategic planning • Analyze capacity, forecast growth requirements, and monitor technology and industry trends • Evaluate new technologies for functionality, interoperability, reliability, availability, supportability, and return on investment • Recommend hardware, software, communication media, and infrastructure upgrades and enhancements • Participate in lifecycle replacement planning • Administer a large, complex, multi-segment wired and wireless network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, access points, and internet connections • Design, develop, install, integrate, and maintain infrastructure using multiple technologies, components, protocols, vendor products, and systems • Establish network standards, naming conventions, and address protocols • Monitor and analyze network traffic and capacity utilization to optimize performance and availability • Analyze data to identify and resolve communication bottlenecks • Provide lead engineer direction and guidance and manage Server/Network upgrades and conversions • Develop and recommend Server/Network contingency and disaster recovery plans • Develop specifications for Server/Network hardware, software, cabling upgrades, and enhancements • Evaluate and recommend network and systems hardware and software with IT Leadership • Develop and recommend cabling and connectivity standards, uses, and levels • Evaluate and recommend software, tools, and utilities for monitoring and managing network performance and security • Develop and maintain network documentation and reference tools • Perform advanced troubleshooting and third-tier problem resolution for network hardware, software, and connectivity • Innovate and design internal solutions that enable scale • Troubleshoot third-level technical support and systems administration tasks escalated by Help Desk and partner teams • Plan, design, configure, implement, maintain, and support server hardware, software, and server management tools • Support strategic planning, disaster recovery, and redundancy • Provide detailed project management documentation for major projects and strategic plans
• Bachelor's Degree required • 5-10 years of experience in systems and network engineering, IT, or a related field • Industry Standard Technical Certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, ITIL) • Strong knowledge of systems and network engineering principles, methodologies, and tools • Proficiency in Microsoft Server Operating System(s): Administration, Configuration, and Support • Experience with networking protocols, hardware, and infrastructure, such as Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, or Aruba • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
