📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and retiring on-premises environments • Own secure configuration baselines, patch management, and OS images and on-prem hardware • Build and maintain reusable, auditable Infrastructure as Code for cloud and on-prem deployments • Support cloud networking, VPC provisioning, security groups, connectivity, load balancers, and DNS • Manage cloud and legacy on-prem storage during migration and support datacenter decommissioning • Execute AWS migration waves, including server deployments and IaC-based resource change requests • Own disaster recovery architecture, backup strategy, DR drills, documentation, and remediation • Contribute to vulnerability management, threat detection, infrastructure security reviews, PHI/PII scanning, and penetration test coordination • Maintain HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance controls, audit readiness, access reviews, evidence collection, and change freeze coordination • Maintain EKS container runtime security sensor coverage and hardening standards • Manage IAM roles, cross-account access controls, compute, storage, databases, identity, and authentication • Administer and harden Linux and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and certificate services • Build CI/CD pipelines and automation for secure, repeatable infrastructure deployments • Monitor, scale, and maintain production infrastructure for availability, performance, and security • Participate in on-call rotation, serve as L2 escalation point, lead root cause analysis, and close incident retrospectives • Author and maintain runbooks, DR documentation, architecture documentation, and standard operating procedures • Contribute to FinOps, cost anomaly remediation, tagging governance, and cost/performance/resilience tradeoffs • Use AI coding and documentation tools for IaC, scripting, troubleshooting, runbooks, DR documentation, and incident retrospectives • Provide technical guidance to product teams on resilience, migration sequencing, and recovery design

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience • Deep expertise in AWS and experience with other cloud environments • Direct experience with disaster recovery design and execution • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation • Experience with containerized environments and Kubernetes/EKS, including version upgrade and lifecycle management • Linux and Windows Server administration experience, including patching and OS lifecycle management at scale • Solid IAM design experience, including cross-account access and least-privilege enforcement • Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines • Comfortable being the primary on-call and L2 escalation point for infrastructure incidents • Preferred: experience operating in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, or SOC 2 • Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps certification, Associate or Professional • Preferred: experience with hybrid infrastructure and active migration • Preferred: familiarity with DISA STIG or CIS benchmark hardening and vulnerability management/triage • Preferred: FinOps or cost governance experience • Preferred: healthcare technology or digital health platform background • Preferred: AI-assisted engineering workflows • Ability to work across multiple time zones in a hybrid or remote work environment • Candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment criminal background check
