📋 Description

• Define and evolve the architectural vision for customer-facing systems in alignment with business strategy • Lead cross-organization initiatives addressing long-term scale, system boundaries, and foundational capabilities • Establish patterns and frameworks for quality, resilience, and operational excellence • Serve as the authority on design decisions and foster alignment across teams • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape product direction • Drive organization-wide adoption of scalable practices, tools, and development norms • Mentor senior technical leaders and elevate engineering capabilities • Lead through complexity and ambiguity, remove organizational blockers, and accelerate strategic initiatives • Translate customer needs and product goals into scalable technical solutions • Design systems and team boundaries for sustainable growth • Drive investment in observability, migrations, and reliability early in the design process

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong record of group-level technical leadership • Experience with Kotlin, Java, or Go • Deep understanding of system design for scale and performance • Experience introducing and scaling shared infrastructure, frameworks, or libraries across multiple teams • Proficiency with CI/CD workflows, including CircleCI and GitHub • Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes • Experience with observability tools such as Datadog • Ability to drive architectural clarity and strategic technical alignment across functions • Experience translating customer and clinical needs into reliable, maintainable, high-impact technical solutions • Track record of improving developer experience, team velocity, and system sustainability • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction for any employer • No immigration sponsorship requirement by Hims & Hers in the U.S.
