📋 Description

• Manage quality systems and compliance activities for Small Animal operations • Lead audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective actions • Monitor quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure compliance with regulatory, animal welfare, and company standards • Partner cross-functionally to promote operational excellence and quality culture • Develop staff and provide guidance on quality processes and best practices • Support business growth initiatives, risk management activities, and quality integration for new programs or operational changes • Support the ongoing recording and management of organizational risks and mitigation activities • Assure licenses are in place for compliant operations and maintain appropriate records and renewals • Travel to international locations as required • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred; equivalent experience may be considered • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or quality systems within life sciences, laboratory animal, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or related industries • Working knowledge of animal welfare regulations, AAALAC standards, USDA requirements, and quality management systems • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to multi-task and produce quality analysis under strict deadlines • Proficient in time management and resource planning • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision • Ability to initiate and implement self-development efforts • Advanced ability to interact effectively with clients and regulatory personnel • Ability to work effectively across state/geographical boundaries • Ability to travel internationally 25% to 30% • Overtime, weekend, and holiday work as required
