📋 Description

• Design, build, and own features and systems powering the Cash App Taxes filing experience, including federal and state form logic and e-file submission • Translate complex tax rules and requirements into clean, maintainable, well-tested code • Build tools and guardrails enabling non-technical contributors to make safe code changes • Drive architectural and design decisions for scalable, secure, and maintainable tax software • Establish best practices for coding, testing, deployment, and documentation • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Tax Product Specialists, Cloud Platform, Design, Product, Customer Care, and other teams • Identify and resolve accuracy, reliability, and performance issues • Mentor teammates through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices • Apply an AI-first mindset in everyday work

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience • Strong technical skills in backend development, including system design, architecture, and object-oriented programming • Track record of delivering reliable, high-quality software solutions on schedule • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach to debugging and implementation • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • Experience in the tax industry is a major plus • Experience with Java / Kotlin, iBatis / SQL relational databases, Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, GCP / AWS, GitHub, HTTP, JSON, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Okta, Linear, and AI Coding Agents
