• Perform annual preventive maintenance work within a given geographic territory • Complete hands-on repair and maintenance work on commercial property systems, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation, card access, doors and gates, building envelope, grounds, parking lots, interior finishes, and lighting • Perform preventive maintenance and repair service on HVAC, water chillers, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems • Identify energy-saving opportunities through facility system and operational changes • Perform routine building maintenance, plumbing, and other tasks as necessary • Independently plan work assignments and perform duties with minimal direct supervision • Assist as a helper in other trades and in the general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds • Travel by truck to various locations within the specified geography • Interact daily with teams in person, by phone, and via email
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial HVAC service and repairs or 5 years military experience that includes work on HVAC systems • High school graduate or GED • Universal CFC certification required • Hands-on skills and knowledge repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, including pumps, motors, air handlers, automation/controls systems, and associated electrical systems • Ability to use industry-standard tools and comply with codes, laws, and regulations • Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite • Skill using the internet and web-based applications • Ability to use handheld electronic devices such as PDA, Blackberry, and cell phone • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage relationships with team members, contractors, building occupants, and clients • Knowledge of English language structure, spelling, composition, and grammar • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 100 pounds and working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms, and in extreme weather conditions
