📋 Description

• Own features end to end across React/TypeScript, the Go/LiftCloud cloud API, and Rust services • Perform deep Rust work on the VTS layer and LiftNet client/server re-architecture • Read and extend the Go cloud API and build correct UI consumers while maintaining coherent API contracts and data shapes • Build performant, data-dense, real-time dashboards, map views, and status panels for operators and technicians • Design and build distributed-system components aligned to the LiftNet re-architecture • Work across Raspberry Pi edge devices, binary/serial protocols, VTS translation, Go cloud, AWS EC2, PostgreSQL/RDS, and QuestDB • Operate, debug, and harden Linux services on edge devices and in the cloud • Integrate and translate OPC UA, Modbus, and serial industrial/OT controller protocols • Build regression validation using golden/blessed datasets and packet-level Wireshark verification for the LN2 Integrator effort • Contribute to AWS Dev/Staging/QA setup and security-group hardening for SOC 2 readiness • Partner with the principal engineer and second full-stack engineer to distribute ownership and reduce key-person bottlenecks • Deliver committed customer features predictably and on time • Take independent ownership of at least one vertical domain within the first months • Reduce key-person risk across VTS, Rust backend, and front-end systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • 5-7 years of Rust engineering experience with senior-level competency • Production experience building front-ends in React/TypeScript • Experience working with server-side APIs and ability to read and extend Go cloud APIs • Client/server distributed-system design experience aligned to the LiftNet 3 direction • Demonstrated self-starting autonomy and ability to own a domain end to end with minimal direction • Comfort across the edge layer, VTS layer, Go cloud, and AWS • Deep hands-on Linux expertise, including command-line troubleshooting, bash scripting, and log analysis • Ability to build, package, and deploy services on Linux, including ARM cross-compilation, containers, and standard build toolchains • Front-end experience with data-heavy, real-time UIs, mapping, live status, and performance tuning • Test-automation experience with golden datasets and packet-level Wireshark verification • Familiarity with OPC UA, Modbus, and serial integration • AWS infrastructure fluency, including Dev/Staging/QA environment duplication and security-group hardening • Pragmatic approach suited to a small, fast-moving company; automation-first and low ego • Bottom-line-first communication
