📋 Description

• Create, manage, and optimize data and BI platforms • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and define data solution architecture • Build and deliver data pipeline solutions, including ETL pipelines, data models, and monitoring controls • Drive end-to-end delivery of data architecture and pipeline solutions through planning, requirements gathering, design, build, and testing • Design and evolve the semantic layer as a governed single source of truth for business intelligence • Design and operationalize a data quality framework with monitoring, alerting, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, resolution, impact assessments, and sizing assessments • Manage and continuously improve data architecture and pipelines, including monitoring standards and operational controls • Lead Tableau BI platform management, updates, enhancements, maintenance, and stakeholder communication • Ensure BI platform availability, performance, security, operations, and governance standards • Establish foundational AI-enabled analytics capabilities in the BI platform • Lead communication and execute project plans across Analytics, Application Development, Data Collection Strategy & Operations, IT Operations, Product Management, and Regional Data Systems & Strategy teams • Lead sprint planning, sprint execution, and release delivery • Track progress, risks, and dependencies and resolve blockers • Guide team members in developing data and BI solutions with validation, quality checks, and current documentation • Manage and develop one or more FTE or contractor team members through expectations, feedback, and coaching • Report to the Senior Director of Data Management and Governance

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related technical field • Experience with SQL-based data platforms such as SQL Server • Experience with modern cloud-based data warehouse/lakehouse platforms such as Fabric/OneLake, Snowflake, or Databricks • Experience building and managing ETLs/pipelines • Experience managing and mentoring data engineers • Strong technical proficiency in SSIS, Spark, PySpark, and SQL • Demonstrated experience and expertise managing Tableau infrastructure, on-prem and cloud, and operations • Experience with version control and CI/CD workflows using Git and platforms such as Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps • Experience with SQL Server and MS Fabric/OneLake preferred • Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred • Master’s degree preferred • Knowledge and skills in on-prem and cloud-based data platform management and architecture • Knowledge of CI/CD, ETL/data pipelines, version control, agile sprint operations, project management tools, and machine learning principles • Passion and commitment to KIPP’s mission and ability to uphold KIPP’s Core Values • Ability to manage competing priorities, create and execute project plans, and manage stakeholders • Ability to develop, coach, and provide feedback to teammates
