📋 Description

• Monitor and validate scheduled and ad hoc data loads • Reconcile source and target results, investigate discrepancies, and resolve data-quality issues • Investigate production incidents, analyze application and database behavior, identify root causes, correct defects, and verify solutions • Translate business needs, operational concerns, and user-reported issues into technical requirements and solutions • Analyze design specifications, identify technical risks or limitations, and provide feedback on alternative designs and performance considerations • Develop and execute unit, integration, system, regression, and data-validation tests • Create and maintain system, program, operational, support, and user documentation • Participate in reviews of system designs, database designs, source code, test plans, implementation procedures, and deployment activities • Assist users in understanding application functionality, warehouse data, data relationships, and reporting capabilities • Manage assigned work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate with team members • Communicate risks, dependencies, technical concerns, blockers, incident status, findings, recommendations, progress, and resolutions • Independently analyze complex systems and data issues through development, testing, implementation, and production validation • Anticipate downstream effects on applications, ETL processes, warehouse data, interfaces, and reports • Evaluate potential solutions and explain their benefits, risks, effort, and maintainability • Produce reliable, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code • Collaborate with developers, analysts, database administrators, business users, project managers, and support personnel • Take ownership of assigned work and production issues through completion • Explain complex technical matters to technical and nontechnical audiences

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years application development, database programming, and production-support experience • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL • Experience with data warehouses and ETL processes • Experience with production data loads, performance analysis, defect correction, and data-quality validation • Experience with dimensional data structures, source-to-target mappings, data reconciliation, and reporting dependencies • Experience with unit, integration, system, regression, and data-validation testing • Previous local, state, or federal government experience (strongly preferred) • Senior-level experience developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex database applications and data-processing solutions • Advanced proficiency with Oracle relational database technologies • Advanced PL/SQL development, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and complex stored program units • Ability to write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer or comparable Oracle development and diagnostic tools • Experience troubleshooting application code and identifying underlying causes of defects • SQL and PL/SQL performance analysis, including execution plans, indexing opportunities, and database performance bottlenecks • Experience with ETL processing, data integration, data transformation, and batch data-loading operations • Experience with production support and incident investigation involving SQL, PL/SQL, ETL processes, and data-warehouse workloads • Experience with source-code management, controlled deployments, and standard software-development lifecycle practices • Must be currently based in either the EST or CST time zones • Must have prior experience in federal, state, or local government • Candidates requiring C2C or work-visa sponsorship are not accepted
