📋 Description

• Handle on-demand phone interpreting sessions between Moroccan Arabic and English speakers • Render accurate meanings according to established interpretation protocols, without omissions or additions • Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and polite expressions • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions • Remain calm during difficult, emotional, or emergency calls, including 911 calls • Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours • Follow client instructions and interpretation protocols • Use appropriate terminology and understand procedures across medical, insurance, finance, law, government, and other industries • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when interpreting • Provide verbal interpretation; the position does not involve written translation • Work from a quiet and secure home office

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Moroccan Arabic and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills • Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations • Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation, or interpretation preferred • Ability to adapt to technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and write the requested languages highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes • Desktop/laptop with Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS, or acceptable tablet/smartphone • No Kaspersky products or Huawei hardware • Internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, and jitter no more than 30 ms • Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary in front of a computer for most of the workday • Ability to operate company-provided software and systems • Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Ability to lift up to 26 lbs • Ability to work with moderate noise levels • Background check and/or drug screen may be required based on location
