📋 Description

• Perform full-lifecycle software engineering on the ServiceNow platform, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging • Work independently on day-to-day objectives affecting operational results and project deliverables • Develop technical solutions in collaboration with internal experts • Configure, customize, and maintain ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request • Configure, customize, and maintain ITOM modules • Maintain CMDB health and accuracy through data normalization and lifecycle management • Support implementation and roadmap of ITSM Pro and Now Assist capabilities • Communicate with internal and client project team members regarding solution design, processes, and approaches • Resolve unclear technical problems requiring deep ServiceNow platform knowledge • Adapt to client needs and support the ServiceNow roadmap • Obtain and synthesize requirements from internal and external stakeholders • Collaborate in a matrix environment to deliver ServiceNow implementations • Support multiple customers simultaneously under a shared services model

🎯 Requirements

• Mid-level ServiceNow software engineering experience • Bachelor’s degree and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2–6 years of prior relevant experience • Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree • U.S. Citizenship is required • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one prior to employment • Active CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain one within the first 30 days of employment • Hands-on ServiceNow platform development experience • Strong understanding of UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and Flow Designer • Experience implementing and maintaining ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM applications, including Discovery and Service Mapping • Deep understanding of software engineering principles, theories, and concepts • Strong understanding of the Glide API, including GlideRecord, GlideSystem, and GlideAjax • Experience writing efficient server-side and client-side scripts • Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment, including story writing, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups • Experience building and maintaining ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems using REST and SOAP web services • ServiceNow CAD or CIS certification is a plus • Understanding of ITIL concepts applied within ServiceNow • Experience mentoring developers and leading project teams is preferred • Familiarity with CSDM is preferred • Experience in a DoD or highly regulated government environment is preferred • Experience with API integrations and custom applications on the Now Platform is preferred • Experience with ServiceNow emerging AI capabilities, including Now Assist and generative AI, is preferred • Advanced understanding of CMDB health metrics is preferred • Exposure to Automated Test Framework (ATF) is preferred
