📋 Description

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements • Promote a collaborative team environment and work with colleagues to achieve business objectives • Plan work estimation and forecasting • Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, security standards, and best practices • Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems • Analyze integration needs and design and plan integrations • Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans and test results • Write high-quality, simple, clear, and testable code • Implement unit and integration tests and conduct functional and performance testing • Participate in code reviews and collaborative programming • Develop reusable software building blocks • Improve existing software performance by diagnosing and resolving critical issues • Establish development practices and processes • Manage and mentor software engineers • Lead the design and delivery of Plan Intelligence, an internal analytics platform for plan portfolio analysis, market insights, consumer segments, and EI packages • Own features end to end across a server-rendered React and TypeScript front end and Python FastAPI service backed by PostgreSQL on AWS • Partner with data engineering on pipelines feeding plan, geospatial, and margin data into the platform • Build and tune interactive mapping, charting, and export experiences over large plan and community datasets • Extend LLM-assisted features built on AWS Bedrock while managing output quality, latency, and cost • Support the platform across development, UAT, and production environments on AWS using monitoring and product analytics

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science and 5+ years with web technology stack and web standards; OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems or equivalent degree and 7+ years with web technology stack and web standards • Growth mindset and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills • Proven track record managing a team of developers • Proven track record architecting, scaling, and implementing complex technical solutions • Proven track record of leadership in Agile environments, with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and passion for mentoring and empowering team members • Ability to communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders verbally and in writing • Strong expertise in JavaScript (7+ years) • High proficiency in React.js (5+ years) • Strong command of semantic HTML and modern CSS, including CSS-in-JS, accessibility, and responsive design principles • Proficiency in TypeScript and modern React tooling, including Vite, server-side rendering, client-side routing, and a server-state library such as TanStack Query or equivalent • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, package managers, debugging, and troubleshooting complex issues • Proficiency in Python with FastAPI and strong SQL against a relational database such as PostgreSQL • Hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating containerized services on AWS (ECS, S3, IAM) using Docker and infrastructure as code • Experience integrating enterprise single sign-on (OIDC, Microsoft Entra ID) and securely handling server-side sessions and tokens • Experience writing automated unit and integration tests across front end and back end • Preferred: data analytics and reporting interfaces; geospatial data and interactive mapping; generative AI and LLM integrations; data pipelines, streaming, and data lake formats; A/B testing and product analytics instrumentation; backend development; cloud platforms; third-party integrations; homebuilding, real estate, or construction domain data
