📋 Description

• Propose, build, and maintain modular QE tools usable across many projects • Collaborate with product, editorial, and engineering teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle • Integrate automated tools and tests into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment and minimize production defects • Ensure test coverage for critical workflows including content ingestion, publishing, personalization, and user engagement • Champion testability and observability in high-traffic, high-availability environments • Mentor teams on automation best practices and shift testing left • Analyze test results and production metrics to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities • Build and maintain custom tools, services, and pipelines using cloud resources • Add dashboards, alerting, and other observability capabilities • Scale quality engineering tools across the business

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of development experience • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript • Exposure to other programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby • Experience working with containers and building configuration files, such as Docker • Experience deploying and maintaining serverless projects using Google Cloud Run/Functions, AWS Lambda, Kubernetes, or similar tools • Experience working with CI tools and building CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins • Experience ingesting, storing, organizing, displaying, and analyzing data using tools such as Google Cloud BigQuery, Data Studio, SQL, and Grafana • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset • Experience architecting or designing multi-step software systems or pipelines is a plus • Exposure to and experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or JUnit is a plus • Appreciation for quality in digital products and services • Problem-solving and stakeholder-focused solution tailoring • Strategic approach to automation balancing speed, coverage, cost, and maintainability • Data-driven mindset using metrics to guide decisions
