Magna Legal Services is a U. S. -based provider of end-to-end litigation support services for law firms, insurance companies, corporations, and government agencies. The company offers court reporting and virtual depositions, record retrieval, service of process, investigative and language services, social media surveillance, jury research and consulting (JuryConfirm, JuryEvaluator, JuryScout), trial presentation and graphics, and related trial support. Magna also produces legal conferences and CLE/CE programs and provides nationwide scheduling and online tools to support litigation from discovery through trial.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and services supporting Magna's Records business and client-facing platforms • Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions • Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences • Design, build, and enhance APIs and backend services using C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure • Develop responsive user experiences using React and modern UI frameworks • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency, code quality, and delivery speed • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning • Mentor other engineers when appropriate • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production applications for reliability and performance • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, to improve engineering efficiency and business value

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience developing and supporting production-grade applications • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using C#/.NET • Strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications in Microsoft Azure • Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed applications • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL • Experience with modern software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions • Experience working in Agile software development environments • Enthusiasm for AI-assisted software development and willingness to use modern AI tools • Preferred: experience with React and/or modern JavaScript frameworks • Preferred: experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, and related Azure services • Preferred: experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD platforms • Preferred: experience with Git, Docker/Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code • Preferred: experience integrating applications with AI or machine learning services, including Azure OpenAI • Preferred: experience using Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies • Preferred: experience in legal technology, healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries
