📋 Description

• Provide strategic, operational, and compliance leadership for all payroll functions across the ministry • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for caregivers • Drive payroll process improvement, system optimization, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Compensation, Benefits, Information Technology, and operational leaders • Deliver an efficient payroll operation supporting organizational goals and a positive caregiver experience • Lead payroll teams and large-scale process improvement and technology initiatives • Manage payroll audits, controls, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting • Influence senior leaders and manage cross-functional partnerships

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field • Five (5) years of progressive payroll leadership experience • Three (3) years of leadership experience managing payroll teams in a large, complex organization • Experience with payroll systems, timekeeping applications, and HRIS platforms • Advanced knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, wage and hour requirements, and compliance standards • Strong financial acumen and understanding of payroll accounting practices • Experience with payroll audits, controls, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting • Proven ability to lead large-scale process improvement and technology initiatives • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and manage cross-functional partnerships • Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field • Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation • Preferred: Experience within a large health system, academic medical center, or integrated delivery network • Preferred: Experience supporting multi-state payroll operations • Preferred: Experience with Workday Payroll, UKG/Kronos Dimensions, or similar enterprise payroll systems • Preferred: Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification
