📋 Description

• Perform system analysis and design to install divergent systems while maintaining enterprise performance and uptime • Maintain high-security levels and data protection techniques in a highly regulated environment • Monitor, maintain, and repair IT systems including server hardware, Windows Servers, VMware, Citrix, cloud services, SAN/NAS storage, MS SQL Server, DB/2, and Microsoft 365 • Lead and execute system architecture design • Manage and optimize large-scale systems and networks • Provide technical leadership on projects • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis • Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise solution upgrades and enhancements • Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex technical issues • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system improvements • Support minimum security baseline requirements for IT systems • Maintain a clean and organized server room and work area • Respond to network, server, and application outages • Communicate outages to management and help resolve problems promptly • Contribute to IT strategy and planning • Lead projects and perform other assigned duties • Use approved AI-assisted tools for coding/scripting, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documentation, technical research, and related work • Review and validate AI-generated outputs for security, privacy, quality, accuracy, and responsible use • Support adoption and expansion of AI technologies by evaluating tools, uses, and processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required • Five (5) plus years of experience in systems engineering • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience accepted • Relevant certifications such as CCNP or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus • Extensive knowledge of server hardware platforms, including high-density and stand-alone configurations • Strong mastery of Windows Server and Linux operating systems • Advanced expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi • Familiarity with Citrix Xen, Microsoft Hyper-V, and cloud services/SaaS offerings • In-depth understanding of LAN, WAN, and storage network technology • Comprehensive knowledge of local, SAN, and NAS storage technologies • Proficiency in AWS, GCP, and Azure, including cloud/on-premises integration • Expertise in DevOps practices, automated testing, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code • High-level proficiency in Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Jenkins, and Git • Advanced administrative knowledge of MS SQL Server, DB/2, and other databases • Expertise in clustering, high availability, backups, and log handling • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, security, clustering, high availability, and anti-spam products • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills • Expertise in strategic planning and budget management • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Occasional business travel may be required
