📋 Description

• Process company-wide semi-monthly Paylocity payroll for over 400 employees, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions • Collect and review payroll submissions with the People team and business partners • Approve and process payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and pay-rate changes • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll issues • Maintain confidentiality and discretion • Monitor payroll and payroll-tax regulations and compliance • Audit employee data, including bonuses, pay increases, commissions, and 401(k) information • Process off-cycle payrolls for final paychecks and year-end payouts • Respond to employee questions about pay, deductions, and garnishments • Create custom and ad hoc reports for HR, Finance, and other departments • Perform year-end payroll processing, audits, and W-2 issuance • Process integrated services such as 401(k), benefits, FSA, and HSA • Organize, review, and process monthly and quarterly bonus and commission payments • Conduct quarterly and annual payroll audits and ensure timely tax filings, amendments, reporting, and other requirements • Prepare journal entries, allocations, and account reconciliations • Support accounting activities, special projects, and audit requests • Prepare SOPs and internal procedures • Analyze processes for efficiency and effectiveness • Perform and monitor SOX-related internal controls

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years performing all payroll functions • Quarterly and Annual Payroll audit experience • Experience ensuring external tax and reporting requirements are met on a timely basis (audit, filing, amendments, reporting, etc.) • Hands-on, detail-oriented, team-oriented, and self-directed approach • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines • Excellent communication, spelling and grammar skills • Negotiating and problem-solving skills required • Microsoft Excel: Intermediate to Advanced experience • Journal entry and general ledger experience, required • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system • Experience with large payroll systems, preferably with ADP • CPP Certification, preferred • NetSuite experience preferred • Experience with HR & Payroll systems migration is a huge plus
