• Architect, design, and build high-performance, scalable data pipelines for large-scale data processing • Develop complex Big Data ETL workflows using Databricks Delta Live Tables • Design and implement data lake architectures using Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg • Define and enforce data engineering best practices for quality, integrity, reliability, and performance • Implement observability and monitoring, including data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management • Contribute to peer reviews, knowledge sharing, production support, incident resolution, and change management • Apply code management and version control best practices • Produce documentation including data flows, lineage diagrams, and architecture details • Create unit and integration tests following TDD principles • Own critical batch ETL components and communicate data models and design decisions to stakeholders • Balance long-term architecture with immediate business needs • Build semantic layers and support customer-facing self-service analytics solutions • Design data architectures and pipelines to standardize, transform, and protect data integrity • Engineer ingestion frameworks for varied data types and monitor data quality • Develop data consumption methods including APIs, database views, and data extracts • Implement solutions across Kubernetes, Teradata, AWS, and Databricks • Select storage platforms based on data sensitivity, privacy requirements, and access needs • Apply data lineage and transformation rules for change management and issue resolution • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data sourcing, processing, quality, and efficiency • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant technical matters • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Experience in Data Engineering • 5–7 years of relevant work experience • Proficiency in Python and PySpark • Strong understanding of SQL • Hands-on experience building large-scale data pipelines with Apache Spark • Experience designing robust data architectures on AWS • Understanding of data lake architectures and open table formats such as Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg • Experience or knowledge of Databricks Delta Live Tables • Hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake preferred • Understanding of data warehouse modeling paradigms • Understanding of cloud-based architectures • Strong problem-solving skills • Understanding of semantic layer technologies such as Looker, Tableau, Snowflake, and Databricks • Experience with data quality, lineage, metadata management, observability, and monitoring • Experience with APIs, database views, and data extracts • Experience with Kubernetes, Teradata, AWS, and Databricks • AWS Certified Developer Associate certification listed • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certification listed • SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer certification listed • Bachelor's degree preferred; Comcast may consider coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience instead • Ability to maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance • Must be able to work nights and weekends and variable schedules as necessary • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters
