📋 Description

• Design and scale ARM64 compute platform functionality, hypervisor integration, and instance management across the Akamai Connected Cloud • Develop low-level platform services, resource orchestration tools, and compute APIs using Python, Go, or compiled systems languages • Design, implement, review, document, and test high-quality code • Collaborate with peers and global teams to build new features or resolve software bugs • Participate in technical design reviews • Mentor junior team members on infrastructure initiatives • Work on core compute platform infrastructure and APIs powering instance orchestration across the Akamai Connected Cloud • Collaborate with QEMU, Linux systems, and hardware teams to support native ARM and x86 compute

🎯 Requirements

• 8 years of relevant experience • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent • Experience with the full software development life cycle, including code reviews, release management and support • Proficiency developing software in Python, Go, C/C++, or Rust • Experience with cloud compute virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU), container runtimes, Linux system APIs, or hypervisor integration • Experience with web application development, microservices, micro-orchestration, RESTful APIs, and database design patterns • Excellent debugging, profiling, and troubleshooting skills across distributed Linux systems and database layers
