📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship home-grown and integrated tooling to eliminate repetitive manual work • Own enhancements and moderate-complexity features in automations and integrations • Partner with commercial, product, and engineering stakeholders • Contribute to root-cause investigations and identify preventive fixes • Extend existing templates, standards, and automation for reusable solutions • Use AI-assisted development and modern automation to deliver solutions quickly • Pair with senior engineers to build proficiency across the team’s technology stack • Participate in the on-call rotation, triage issues, support members, and assist internal investigations

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years writing readable, tested, and efficient production code • Strong Ruby on Rails experience, or exceptional backend engineering experience in another language with willingness to ramp quickly on Rails • Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL • Experience building and consuming APIs and integrations across service boundaries • Fluency with AI-assisted development and day-to-day use of AI coding assistants • Experience with workflow-automation platforms such as Tines, n8n, or similar • Experience building API-driven automation workflows • Track record of shipping measurable improvements to well-defined problems • Solid debugging and optimization skills • Strong grasp of SDLC processes and frameworks • Comfort ramping onto unfamiliar codebases and judgment about when to consult system owners • Bonus: experience with React or Vue • Bonus: healthcare or regulated/data-sensitive domain experience • Bonus: solutions engineering, implementation, or customer-facing technical environment experience
