📋 Description

• Lead a small, senior SRE team and provide planning, clarity, and career growth • Focus the team on high-leverage reliability work over manual, ticket-driven response • Write production code and build automation, tooling, and golden paths • Contribute to the team codebase and perform design and code reviews • Define service ownership, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and deploy and rollback safety • Run regular service-health reviews for supported systems • Run incident command when needed and drive verified remediation • Build self-service incident tooling and runbook automation • Design sustainable on-call coverage through staffing, handoffs, and automation • Partner with service teams and engineering leaders to raise reliability standards • Report to the Head of Platform and Data Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundation • Write production-quality code in a modern language such as Python or Go • Comfortable being assessed on coding • Real reliability depth for production systems and services at scale • Experience ideally in a consumer, fintech, or other high-availability environment • Foundation built at a high-bar, high-scale engineering organization with a strong engineering culture • Recent people leadership; managed a small engineering team within roughly the last few years • Hands-on experience with observability, alerting, safe deploys, automation, and incident command • Calm, credible communication with team, partner teams, and during live incidents • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States • Engineering professional experience is requested on the application form, with options including 0–3, 3–7, 7–10, or 10+ years
