📋 Description

• Provide holistic evaluation of domestic and international applications for acceptance into The Ohio State University's Honors Program • Supervise 10 seasonal honors application reviewers • Plan trainings and meetings • Assist with application assignment • Provide feedback and coaching to reviewers and resolve reviewer concerns • Develop understanding of Honors Program enrollment goals, policies, and procedures • Read, review, and evaluate application credentials • Enter recommendations for completed reviews into the online review site weekly • Review files assigned weekly through a secure online review site and submit recommendations electronically • Assist with mandatory monthly training and other meetings during normal university business hours • Work with the assistant director of application review on role planning, coaching, assignment, and review • Stay current with procedural and guideline changes affecting the review process • Maintain confidentiality and security of admission files and university materials

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in counseling, human relations, or education • Reasonable knowledge of high school guidance or teaching • Familiarity and knowledge with college/university policies and procedures, recruitment or admissions, or counseling practices at higher education institutions • Successful completion of a background check • Must be an Ohio resident and live in the state of Ohio while serving in the role • Flexible work schedule averaging 14–18 hours per week, with some January and February weeks requiring up to 20 hours • Commitment to completing required weekly files and attending all virtual required trainings and meetings • Previous application reviewing experience, supervisory experience, and 1–2 years of relevant experience are desired
