📋 Description

• Own financial reporting preparation, including statements of cash flows, at month-end and quarter-end. • Own equity and other compensation awards accounting and partner with Equity Administration. • Lead resolution of technical accounting matters and operationalize conclusions through technical memos, accounting policies, journal entries, financial statement presentation, footnote disclosures, reconciliations, and process documentation. • Serve as primary accounting contact for external auditors, facilitating PBC requests, preparing memorandums, drafting financial statements and footnotes, and performing tie-outs. • Act as subject matter expert for complex U.S. GAAP technical accounting matters. • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. • Maintain accounting policies and memorandums. • Perform monthly flux/variance analysis and explain material movements to finance leadership. • Monitor emerging accounting standards and translate guidance into policies, implementation plans, disclosures, reporting calendars, and scalable processes. • Apply AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to streamline technical accounting workflows, automate recurring processes, and accelerate the close. • Partner with FP&A, Legal, Revenue, People, and Operations on new initiatives and ad hoc Finance needs. • Report to the Assistant Global Controller and help modernize the close through AI adoption and scalable processes.

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience. • Active CPA license required. • 5+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, accounting advisory, corporate controllership, or complex financial reporting; Big 4 or national firm experience strongly preferred. • Demonstrated broad U.S. GAAP expertise, including revenue, leases, stock-based compensation, capitalized internal-use software, fixed assets and intangibles, impairment, financial statement presentation, consolidations, intercompany, and multi-entity/currency structures. • Experience with equity accounting, capitalization tables, and equity rollforward. • Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems, close management tools (FloQast, Numeric), and equity administration systems (Carta, Slice). • Demonstrated ability to draft and review audit-ready technical memorandums, implement conclusions in recurring operations, work constructively with external auditors, and ground conclusions in evidence, economic substance, and authoritative guidance. • Demonstrated experience across close, technical accounting, and reporting, with understanding of how technical decisions flow through journal entries, reconciliations, disclosures, controls, financial statements, significant estimates, and external reporting. • Advanced Excel proficiency – comfortable with large datasets, pivot tables, and advanced formulas. • Hands-on proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) applied to accounting workflows preferred. • Strong attention to detail and ability to independently reconcile and resolve discrepancies. • Demonstrated track record of ownership and self-motivation.
