📋 Description

• Develop and maintain backend systems on IBM i using RPG, SQLRPGLE, and CLP • Integrate IBM i applications with DB2 for i and enterprise systems • Deliver reliable, tested code, including unit tests and contributions to CI/CD pipelines • Track defects, resolutions, and bug fixes • Learn and apply agentic AI coding tools under senior guidance • Critically review AI-generated output before committing code • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, QA, and cross-team stakeholders • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and engineering guilds • Share on-call and escalation responsibilities • Engage in ongoing study of modern technologies, industry knowledge, and AI-assisted development practices • Contribute to software design and architecture while working under senior engineers' supervision

🎯 Requirements

• 0–5 years of industry experience in software engineering • Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent industry or training experience • Foundational knowledge of RPG, SQLRPGLE, and/or CLP for IBM i • Understanding of SQL-based data access patterns • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, quality, and security • Demonstrated interest in learning and applying agentic AI coding tools, such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and cross-functional teams • Attention to detail and quality • Growth mindset and eagerness to deepen IBM i skills and learn modern integration patterns • Reliable internet connectivity and suitable remote workspace • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
