📋 Description

• Partner with business and IT leaders to identify and understand multifaceted problems and improvement opportunities • Partner with development teams, business partners, architecture, and customers to understand project requirements, provide technical oversight, and resolve technical challenges • Serve as a primary engineering and strategic implementation partner • Oversee code reviews for compliance with best practices, Premera standards, and architectural guidelines • Oversee vendors and provide code sign-off • Analyze project data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern • Make data-driven recommendations to improve software delivery • Train and enforce governance processes for company standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements • Oversee engineering excellence and continuous automation, including testing for cross-functional and in-team efforts • Act as a technical and business leader and share knowledge across teams and the Premera developer community • Stay current with best practices, technology trends, and organizational business needs • Mentor and advise other engineers • Define end-to-end healthcare testing requirements across programs and production operations • Map customer journeys and translate business processes into comprehensive test scenarios • Identify edge cases, data dependencies, and compliance considerations • Lead healthcare-specific test data strategy, including data models and reusable datasets • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems (Required) • Eight (8) years of software development experience (Required) • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle • Skills utilizing one or more programming languages • Experience in the healthcare industry or a highly regulated environment (Strongly Preferred) • Experience working with cloud solutions (Preferred) • Technical knowledge and experience with Premera tools such as Facets or other role-specific tools (Preferred) • Previous experience in an Agile environment (Preferred) • Exposure to API and service-based technologies (Preferred) • Experience using and creating automated test tools (Preferred)
