📋 Description

• Set the technical vision for the Marketplace team • Design and build a system that serves helpful offers to users efficiently and effectively • Manage and coach 3–5 reports across multiple sub-teams • Help reports advance in their careers • Develop team-level processes that foster consistency and collaboration in a remote-first culture • Sustain efficient cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, design, and data • Advocate for necessary system changes • Ensure smooth onboarding for new engineers and help the team iterate on the process • Serve as a player-coach, acting as technical lead while managing 3–5 teammates across multiple sub-teams

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing web or mobile applications, especially ad tech or consumer products • 2+ years of experience managing engineers of various levels in a start-up remote-first environment • Strong AI skills and the ability to think systematically about when and where to use AI most effectively • A growth mindset, curiosity, and the desire to understand how the Marketplace business operates • Excellent written and verbal communication • Passion for making a difference in the lives of users • Experience with or knowledge of government services, particularly SNAP, WIC, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, or Section 8, is a plus • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer • Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
