📋 Description

• Serve as an Infrastructure Migration Specialist and Solution Architect • Lead Platform Engineering initiatives • Migrate workloads from on-premise data centers to AWS using Rehost and Replatform strategies • Lead large-scale Lift and Shift and Replatform migrations targeting AWS EC2 architectures • Plan and execute migration tasks using AWS Migration Hub, MGN, SMS, DMS, CloudEndure, and Double-Take • Conduct portfolio assessments and use AWS Migration Evaluator to define migration strategies • Troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and database server issues during migration • Help clients maximize the benefits of cloud infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience • Proficiency in architecting, deploying, and maintaining AWS Cloud infrastructure services, including VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, EC2, SQS, SSM, ASG, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Boto3, Python, EKS, shell scripting, automation, SNS, KMS, ECR, and RDS • Understanding of medium to large enterprise architectures and multi-account AWS setups • Recent experience with cloud migration strategies, including the 7 Rs • Experience with at least one large-scale Lift and Shift (REHOST) migration and one large-scale REPLATFORM migration targeting AWS EC2 instance-based architectures • Experience with CloudEndure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) • Experience with AWS Migration Evaluator and Portfolio Assessment tools • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks • Understanding of Windows or Linux OS and troubleshooting OS issues during migration • Knowledge of compute, storage, network, and messaging services • Proficiency setting up and managing hybrid cloud networks, VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and Application Load Balancers • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting • Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines • Understanding of AWS security best practices, IAM roles and policies, and compliance requirements • Hands-on experience with Bash, Python, Core Java, and Scala • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and AWS SSM • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESX, NSX, vMotion, and VM Export/Import • Experience monitoring infrastructure and application performance using Amazon CloudWatch • Experience optimizing database queries and application performance after migration • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis • Ability to build and manage container hosting platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are listed as qualifications • Ability to work in the US or Canada
