📋 Description

• Serve as an Infrastructure Migration Specialist and Solution Architect for AWS cloud migrations • Spearhead Platform Engineering initiatives • Lead large-scale Lift and Shift (REHOST) and REPLATFORM migrations to AWS EC2 architectures • Plan and execute migration tasks using AWS Migration Hub, MGN, SMS, DMS, CloudEndure, and Double-Take • Conduct portfolio assessments and define optimal migration strategies using AWS Migration Evaluator • Troubleshoot Windows or Linux operating systems and database servers during migration • Empower clients to maximize the benefits of cloud infrastructure • Architect, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure services • Set up and manage hybrid cloud networks, VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and Application Load Balancers • Automate migration, development, and testing processes using scripting, IaC, and CI/CD tools • Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance • Optimize database queries and application performance after migration

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience • Proficiency architecting, deploying, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure services • Understanding of medium to large enterprise architectures and multi-account AWS setups • Recent experience with cloud migration strategies, including the 7 Rs • Experience with at least one large-scale REHOST migration and one large-scale REPLATFORM migration targeting AWS EC2 architectures • Experience with CloudEndure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) • Experience with AWS EC2, S3, auto-scaling, Landing Zone, and Control Tower • Proficiency with AWS Migration Evaluator and portfolio assessment tools • Understanding of service-oriented architecture and cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks • Understanding of Windows or Linux operating systems and troubleshooting migration-related issues • Knowledge of compute, storage, network, and messaging services • Proficiency managing hybrid cloud networks, VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and Application Load Balancers • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools including CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK • Experience with CI/CD tools including Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Docker • Understanding of AWS security best practices, IAM roles and policies, and compliance requirements • Hands-on experience with Bash, Python, Core Java, and Scala • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and AWS SSM • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESX, NSX, vMotion, and VM Export/Import • Experience monitoring infrastructure and application performance with Amazon CloudWatch • Experience optimizing database queries and application performance after migration • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis • Ability to build and manage container platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
