📋 Description

• Provide leadership and subject-matter expertise to development teams building cloud-native solutions on AWS • Design and engineer 100% AWS cloud-native application components • Develop solution prototypes demonstrating component suitability and interoperability • Establish implementation patterns for adoption by development team members • Write high-quality, efficient Python and JavaScript code without guidance • Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to development team members • Provide AWS cloud-native subject-matter expertise to developers • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on implementation patterns • Capture implementation patterns in development standards and architecture best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Background in large-system application development and design • Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing cloud application components • Proficiency with object-oriented design principles and software design patterns • Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages: Python, Java, and/or JavaScript (Python preferred) • Development and deployment experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CodeCommit, EC2, SNS, SQS, KMS, VPC, and IAM • Experience with JSON and XML document markups, document data stores, and REST API endpoints • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL • Familiarity with CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and/or Scrum • Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment • Ability to adhere to policies safeguarding PHI and PII • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution • Preferred: Experience with MarkLogic • Preferred: Public sector experience, preferably Medicaid or healthcare • Desired certifications: AWS Solutions Architect and/or AWS Developer, with practical usage of the mentioned services
