📋 Description

• Provide direction and support to labor relations leadership and field management by applying labor and employee relations strategies • Ensure effective implementation of labor relations and positive employee relations strategies through training and partnering with internal customers • Develop, implement, maintain, and manage labor relations education and training programs • Supervise and direct members of the Labor Relations team • Develop and maintain employee relationships and strengthen communication between employees and the Company • Listen to employee concerns and suggest solutions to employees and management • Work with management to respond to grievances in unionized facilities • Investigate and handle certain employee complaints • Engage in employee relations activities and support employee engagement initiatives • Direct and/or support representation campaigns, elections, and related matters • Provide labor relations advice to internal customers • Travel by air, car, and/or other transportation modes up to 75% of the time • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working in an organization with a partially unionized workforce • Experience working in a large, decentralized multi-state organization • Thorough knowledge of NLRA and other related federal and state laws • Minimum of 7 years of progressive human resources generalist or labor relations experience, including implementing labor strategy, developing and implementing campaign strategy, and conducting training • Experience managing or having significant involvement in union election campaigns • Environmental services or transportation industry experience preferred • PHR certification preferred • Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred
