📋 Description

• Set up, coordinate, and reconcile multi-state payroll taxes • Collaborate with Corporate and Field divisions to identify, analyze, document, and report accounting and tax issues • Complete and support applicable payroll tax returns and reports • Review and evaluate data to ensure appropriate tax payments • Maintain payroll tax data, including new tax rates and IDs • Ensure accurate and timely payments by check, electronically, or wire transfer • Monitor and track jurisdictional inquiries and tax applications through completion • Perform audits to ensure data integrity and work with the Front End processing team to correct errors • Develop new or more efficient auditing processes • Complete documentation for Smart Compliance fallout and employee tax transfers • Review fringe benefit processing • Maintain current due-date calendars, SOPs, and work instructions • Identify opportunities to add value and streamline processes • Perform miscellaneous projects as requested

🎯 Requirements

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws, including registering and maintaining state payroll tax accounts • Solid understanding of the payroll lifecycle, amendments, and taxable wages • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience with ADP Smart Compliance • Workday knowledge • Effective communication with individuals at all organizational levels • Strong time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and problem solve in a team environment • Strong stakeholder mentality, propriety, and confidentiality • Ability to work in demanding situations with multiple competing deadlines • 3 years of payroll and/or payroll tax and compliance experience • Experience handling payroll tax in multiple states (preferred) • CPP or FPC certification (preferred)
