📋 Description

• Manage the non-energetic scope of procurement teams and establish and monitor performance metrics • Ensure team members have the knowledge and skills to execute purchasing tasks, including FAR/DFAR compliance • Provide on-the-job training to address skill gaps • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define and refine supply scope, purchasing requirements, and statements of work • Oversee procurement process compliance and required approvals before purchase order release • Address supplier terms and conditions conflicts or risks with relevant specialists • Lead supplier engagement, negotiations, performance management, and appropriate on-site supplier evaluations • Guide internal customer and supplier relationships • Support recruitment, training, mentoring, and development of procurement team members • Foster team growth and operational excellence

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience • Experience in procurement and contracting • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations • Experience managing procurement activities, purchase order compliance, supplier negotiations, and supplier performance management • U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain necessary export authorizations • Prior experience with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Material Program Managers • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and influencing operational-level outcomes within a compliance framework • Experience with subcontract types including FFP, T&M, CPFF, and CPIF • Experience in the defense industry, particularly aerospace • Experience guiding executive and program-level supplier reviews and conducting supplier negotiations • Ability to understand technical concepts and applications relevant to procurement activities • Experience managing financial and operational risks and opportunities • Experience recruiting, training, mentoring, and coaching procurement teams • Experience delivering executive-level presentations and communicating with stakeholders • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (preferred)
