📋 Description

• Support Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture across the Business Unit/Vertical • Supervise continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management • Manage multiple complex Supply Chain projects and interact with senior management and customers • Develop and execute strategy, scorecards, and KPI action plans • Assess critical site and business needs and develop continuous improvement plans • Drive process improvement activities to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth metrics • Provide regular reports on data, actions, progress, and business objectives • Train, coach, and mentor employees and managers on Ryder Business System, engineering, data analysis, and Lean methods • Support start-ups, retrofits, expansions, pricing inputs, go-live, and steady-state certifications • Apply engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, quality standards, slotting, labor standards, layouts, flow optimization, automation, data analytics, and resource modeling • Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events, including A3 charters, pre-work, results delivery, and sustainment follow-up • Identify process gaps and lead the CI team in implementing improvements • Track and report transformational activities and project value across customer accounts • Assess, develop, implement, and continuously improve lean processes across accounts • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain the QMS • Implement and monitor a standardized corrective action system • Support regulatory compliance and certification requirements • Oversee Quality Assurance functions for start-ups or expansions • Oversee internal auditing for regulatory compliance and certification • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management • Nine (9) years or more in the Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics industry required • Lean Six Sigma required • Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Advanced expertise in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, Management Accountability Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization • Expert understanding and experience in core engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, and metrics • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional and complex CI projects from beginning to sustained results • Ability to build, manage, and develop effective teams • Data visualization and database programming skills with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and DAX are preferred • Expertise with CAD/AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST, Manhattan Scale, and Labor Management Systems is preferred • Knowledge of warehouse management operations, data analytics, industrial engineering, warehouse types, layout/design, Lean methods, material handling, automation, transportation networks, equipment, and transportation design tools is preferred • Knowledge of Workday, HR processes, team member hiring/onboarding, goal setting, and performance management is preferred • Master's degree, cPMP, ISO/QMS, and APICS and/or Supply Chain Logistics Certification are preferred
