📋 Description

• Build and own products and systems end to end, from ambiguous customer problems through architecture, implementation, and launch • Own backend logic and customer-facing experiences across seller tools, discovery, account activity, and submission flows • Build reliable, performant systems for real-time bidding, money movement, inventory workflows, and partner integrations • Design for concurrency, data consistency, and production failure paths • Work with product, design, and business partners to identify problems, make trade-offs, and measure results • Build tools, APIs, and automation for collectors, sellers, partners, and internal teams • Own testing, instrumentation, and performance; use production feedback to improve the product • Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and share knowledge • Build AI-powered features such as instant valuations, personalized discovery, listing enrichment, and automated quality checks • Build agents to monitor systems, triage exceptions, and surface actionable findings • Use models to build simulators and generate adversarial test cases • Put MCP servers over product data and event history for plain-language investigation • Use Claude Code or Cursor to build, refactor, migrate, and test

🎯 Requirements

• Full-stack engineering ability with strong backend fundamentals in Python, Postgres, and AWS or comparable infrastructure • Frontend experience with React, React Native, and TypeScript • Experience building and scaling applications • Experience turning ideas into working products or owning technically challenging problems with meaningful constraints • Track record of owning features or systems from design through production • Product sense and understanding of customer problems and business outcomes • AI-native workflow with concrete examples of using AI to prototype, build, and iterate • Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs and move work forward • Strong documentation, collaboration, and communication skills • Bonus: experience with high-concurrency bidding, real-time interfaces, personalization, or recommendation systems • Bonus: experience with payment integrations, double-entry ledgers, reconciliation, or lending systems • Bonus: experience with logistics, inventory or asset management, imaging workflows, or enterprise APIs • Bonus: experience with experimentation, product analytics, attribution, or lifecycle infrastructure • Bonus: startup experience building products or systems from the ground up • Bonus: familiarity with collectibles or alternative asset marketplaces
