📋 Description

• Review and oversee QA/QC programs across all project phases • Ensure compliance with contract specifications, design documents, applicable codes, and standards • Conduct regular contractor audits and provide recommendations for improvement • Ensure contractors use current design-document revisions and maintain accurate change records • Verify installed progress and work products align with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements • Track work progress and report key activity development in daily reports • Support partners and stakeholders in addressing project problems and developing creative solutions • Monitor storage and maintenance of project materials and equipment • Review construction test reports and compliance documentation, including welding, concrete, NDE, welding procedures, and welder qualifications • Oversee quality of soils compaction, concrete placement, structural steel bolt-up, rotating equipment alignment, and electrical cable testing • Maintain quality records and as-built documentation • Compile audit results and performance metrics for project management and stakeholders • Assist contractors with pre-planning quality-control processes • Document inspection observations, deviations, and non-conformances • Track non-conformance reports and corrective actions • Summarize QA/QC performance statistics and identify improvement opportunities • Provide interface between contractors/subcontractors and client • Enforce safety protocols and procedures • Maintain records of quality activities, inspections, equipment condition, and performance metrics • Provide technical leadership and guidance to plant operators, maintenance teams, and stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical quality assurance, operations, and maintenance within the power generation industry • Proven track record of successful projects • Familiarity with industry regulations, industry codes & standards, and best practices related to power plant construction, operations, maintenance, and safety • Familiarity with NFPA, NEMA, OSHA, and NEC • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Willingness to travel and work in various locations across the United States • Sargent & Lundy does not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position
