📋 Description

• Set technical direction and define architecture, platform contracts, and long-term design tradeoffs • Design and build the highest-leverage and highest-ambiguity platform components • Review designs and code across the team and serve as the technical escalation point • Debug production issues involving pipeline failures, build regressions, infrastructure drift, and flaky tests • Partner with Product, Security, SRE, and domain engineering leads on the platform roadmap • Mentor and develop engineers and engineering managers through code review, design review, and pairing • Translate organization-wide DevX strategy into an executable technical roadmap • Represent the platform in cross-functional architecture reviews • Own technical design of AI-assisted developer tooling and coding-agent runtime infrastructure • Build foundational capabilities including cloud development environments, CI/CD, developer portals, compliance guardrails, velocity telemetry, and AI-native tooling

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15+ years of software engineering experience • Track record of technical leadership on platform, infrastructure, or DevX systems at scale • Deep current hands-on ability writing code, reviewing designs, and debugging production systems • Experience owning CI/CD pipelines, build systems, internal developer portals, or test automation platforms in production at meaningful engineering-org scale • Strong command of containerization, Kubernetes/Docker, orchestration, remote caching, and AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure • Deep expertise in RBAC, secure secrets management, and automated compliance gates • Experience designing environment-safety systems • Fluency with DORA metrics • Ability to turn ambiguous organizational strategy into a technical roadmap without management authority • Track record of raising the technical bar through review, mentorship, and design leadership • Hands-on experience building with or on top of coding agent runtimes such as Codex, Copilot, Cursor, or similar • Preferred: internal developer platforms, custom build networks, or internal control planes at multi-hundred-engineer scale • Preferred: compliance-sensitive workflows, change management systems, audit trails, or policy engines • Preferred: SaaS or cloud-native infrastructure background • Preferred: technical lead or architect experience on a platform team without direct reports • Preferred: guardrails for autonomous or semi-autonomous coding agents
