📋 Description

• Design, develop, and assist in securing scalable application modules using Java and Thymeleaf • Use AI conversion tools and manual methods to translate legacy PowerBuilder modules to a modern Java-based codebase • Collaborate with customer teams to review technical specifications, support smooth testing, and deliver high-quality code • Improve application performance, reliability, and security • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive peer feedback • Document technical processes and solutions • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems • Work within Agile SDLC two- to three-week sprints, participate in daily scrums, and track work in sprint software • Work within a DevSecOps delivery model • Maintain automated CI/CD pipelines that build, test, scan, and deploy code • Triage SAST, DAST, and software composition analysis findings and remediate vulnerabilities • Write automated unit and integration tests to support continuous delivery and meet coverage thresholds • Apply secure coding practices consistent with OWASP guidance and applicable DoD requirements, including relevant STIGs

🎯 Requirements

• US Citizen • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/NACI position • Bachelor's degree • Active/current 8140 IAT II certification • At least 6 years of related experience • Experience building applications in Java • Solid understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend best practices • Proficiency with Thymeleaf and various Thymeleaf modules • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for backend development • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, application refactoring, database migration, and SaaS integration • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell • Experience with relational and non-relational databases • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud architectures • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, Ansible, and JFrog Artifactory • Understanding of Git/Gitbash, Git etiquette, and branching strategy
