📋 Description

• Own and evolve the data pipeline platform ingesting provider, benefit, and pricing data into Snowflake and delivering it to third-party consumers via SFTP • Design, build, and maintain third-party data-provider and vendor integrations, handling schema drift, malformed data, and partner-specific quirks • Build internal staff tools automating repetitive, high-volume operational work, including pricing adjustments for benefit amounts • Process and reconcile large volumes of medical provider data, focusing on data quality, lineage, and auditability • Set technical direction for data infrastructure and integration patterns, including evaluating event-driven pipelines, CDC, and workflow orchestration • Review designs, pair on difficult problems, and unblock engineers across teams • Drive engineering standards for pipeline reliability, observability, and testing • Partner with product, operations, and pricing stakeholders to turn ambiguous business needs into durable technical systems • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design documents, and hands-on collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• Must be based in California, Oregon, or Washington • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of owning data-intensive systems in production • Deep experience building and operating data pipelines at scale, including ingestion, transformation, and delivery • Hands-on experience building and maintaining third-party integrations, including handling unreliable or inconsistent external data • Experience building internal tools/platforms that automate operational workflows for non-engineering teams • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, data modeling, and modern architectural patterns for processing data at scale • Demonstrated ability to operate as a technical leader: setting direction, unblocking others, and influencing without direct authority • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to turn loosely defined operational pain points into well-scoped technical solutions • Strong communication skills, able to explain data architecture tradeoffs to engineers and non-technical stakeholders • Fluent, disciplined use of AI-assisted tooling, with rigor to verify correctness, security, and quality before shipping • Experience with healthcare data, such as provider directories, NPI, claims, fee schedules, or benefits data (nice to have) • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Step Functions (nice to have)
