📋 Description

• Architect, design, and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant, resilient distributed microservices for cybersecurity range simulations. • Drive technical standards across systems and own the long-term technical vision and architecture for critical platform capabilities. • Design platform capabilities coordinating AI-enabled services and autonomous workflows for intelligent emulation behaviors, context exchange, reliability, security, and operational control. • Evaluate and adopt interoperability patterns and protocols, including MCP and A2A, as the platform evolves. • Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineering Leadership to define roadmap priorities and technical milestones. • Lead complex, multi-quarter, end-to-end engineering initiatives. • Drive system reliability, performance tuning, fault tolerance, code quality, testing, API design, and system architecture best practices. • Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, code reviews, feedback, and delegation of high-impact initiatives. • Design and implement observability, telemetry, proactive alerting, high availability, incident resolution, and zero-downtime deployment frameworks. • Embed security, compliance, and offensive/defensive mitigation patterns into system design and the software development lifecycle. • Author and maintain architectural decision records, technical specifications, and system design patterns.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on software development experience architecting, building, and operating large-scale distributed microservices in production • 2-year degree in science and technology or commensurate experience • Deep expertise in object-oriented languages such as Java or Kotlin • Advanced API design, system integration, and event-driven architecture experience • Production expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and Spring Boot • Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production software systems • Sound judgment regarding service boundaries, context management, reliability, security, and observability • Experience leading complex, multi-system initiatives from ideation through delivery • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, offensive/defensive tactics, user emulation, or threat landscapes • Experience identifying system bottlenecks, improving fault tolerance, and resolving complex distributed-system failures • Kotlin, Java, Python, or Go experience • MCP, A2A, agentic workflows, orchestration systems, and reinforcement learning exposure are pluses or nice-to-have qualifications • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States at the time of hire
