📋 Description

• Help build and define the cloud and application security posture • Enable cyber resilience and implement zero trust initiatives • Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud-hosted infrastructure, applications, and data • Lead hardening efforts involving IAM, network segmentation, PAM, workload protection, CI/CD integration, and container/Kubernetes security • Evaluate and implement cloud-native and third-party security tooling • Monitor and respond to cloud security incidents and lead timely root cause analysis • Mature the application security program, including security SDLC, code scanning, SCA, threat modeling, and penetration testing • Partner with engineering leaders to integrate security into product roadmaps • Design and implement secure coding standards and developer education programs • Support hands-on code review and validation for high-risk or high-impact applications • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud engineering compliance • Track emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to improve security posture • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cloud and application security practices • Define KPIs and metrics to make security measurable and transparent • Drive a culture of security across engineering, development, and product teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university, or equivalent job experience • Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent • At least 7 years of direct relevant work experience in cloud security engineering, application/product security or a similar role • Relevant security-focused certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, ISSAP, or CISM preferred • Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud security principles and technologies • Proficiency in scripting and automation, such as Python, PowerShell, and Terraform • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes container security technologies • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling • Knowledge of encryption and key management practices • Broad knowledge across security, insider threat, risk management, and compliance domains • Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently in a fast-paced environment • Excellent risk-based problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
