📋 Description

• Assist with the design and implementation of company databases • Translate business needs into supporting conceptual data models • Work with development teams to create physical data models and implementation road maps • Develop best practices for consistent data model development • Ensure data models follow data classification and governance objectives • Review data models for variances, efficiency, and interoperability • Promote data models and align their use with business needs • Troubleshoot and optimize data models • Collaborate with platform architects, product owners, and data analysts • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Five (5) years of hands-on experience with relational and dimensional data modeling • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Advanced troubleshooting skills • Detail oriented and capable of envisioning edge cases in real data sets • Awareness of software engineering and DevOps best practices, including source control, branching patterns, automated testing, and automated deployments • Ability to write data transformations in code or use GUI tools • Understanding of modern CI/CD practices and principles • Experience in Jenkins development preferred • Strong understanding of DataOps principles • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web tools • Ability to travel 10% of the time • Ability to clear the required background check • Familiarity with dbt, Snowflake, Alation, and Power BI • CBIP Certification a plus
